Wi-Fi printing

Any suggestions? my Epson SX515W printer (which I have switched on), has just decided not to be seen on Wi-Fi, it prints OK with a USB port and I have tried nearly everything I can.

When asked to print it gets going but the printer icon in the dock starts to bounce, opening the printer icon the panel that appears states, Printer is not connected and looking for a printer.

In the Print preferences it say the printer is offline, in the printing panel there is a printer offline symbol.

I have a similar problem in that my printer is connected by ethernet to my router, but when my Mac goes to sleep it loses contact with the printer. However if I restart my Mac, it finds the printer again.
I have tried giving it a fixed IP address but that has made no difference.

Sorry Brian but sometimes the obvious gets forgotten:

Have you changed any of your wireless setting - password for example? is the printer getting an IP address from the router (DHCP) or does it have a fixed address? If you know the address, can you ping it?

It points to several more OSX-framed free utilities for anyone who knows what to do with the information, but I come from Barcelona and know nothing ;-)

On a more practical note, have you "re-asserted", for want of a better term, your Epson with your router and your Mac -- VIA WIFI ?

eg:
1. Make sure computer is on and wireless connection is working.
2. Go to printer and press the set up button, the "button with the spanner/screwdriver"
3. Scroll along to network setup on the little display screen and select your router from the list
4. Enter your password (router secure password you use for internet access)
5. Go to computer > System Preferences > Print & Scan
6. when printer displays select and add it
7. should be good to go

You may need to download new drivers in case the WiFi part isn't working from epson website.

Thanks for the help, still no luck so I have the printer on a USB cable now and I have found that I can get the scanning how I like it so shall use it this way until I can sort out the problem.
