On Tuesday last I gave a presentation comparing several programs that do just this. I have since spoken to the UK rep of Phse One, which markets Media Pro, they will offer a copy to the person presenting the best photo catalogue plan. I guess that this will have to be by written description, showing a “family tree” of the layout and a list of ideal attributes., I think that the deadline will have to be the end of July to give me time to trot around the other groups to present the Keynote and spread the message. Finding individual photographs is not necessarily the problem. Tagging them with keywords is a good way of ensuring that photos relating to a specific subject/project/theme of any sort can be found but as the list of tags grows it can prove troublesome to find and use the precise word that will allow you to search out all related images. The beauty of individual catalogues is that keywords are not required as the thumbnails can simply and easily be dragged into the appropriate one. And then ALL the related images are seen in one file.
