Anyone for a cup of Java?

Avatar Euan Williams
The brew thickens as from the Tuesday 16th April 2013 updates.

Both Apple and Oracle are at present providing Java updates, depending on whose Java you may be running and which version of MacOSX you have installed as well.

The advice remains: if you don't need it, don't install it (and disable the Java plug-in in your browser) see "Java Malware at it again" - 11th Jan 2013 etc. and "Chinese Java 'flu" - 20 Feb 2013).

NB: this is NOT about "Java Script" which is benign and good to have around.

Adherents seeking celestial enlightenment (users of Adobe's Creative Suite and people wishing to understand more about the new Safari v. 6.0.4 Java exceptions) may like to look here:

There used to be a copy of "Ashley's Book of Knots" in Dorchester Ref. Library… is there an app for that?
