Annie and I got invited at rather short notice to a great evening last night at a music store in Poole (Nuffield Industrial Estate) where we recently spent some money on a keyboard and other gear. Main business of the evening was a demo by a man appointed by Apple to showcase the new Logic software. It was an excellent evening, there were generous refreshments, a draw for the latest iPod (sadly we didn't win), an excellent demo, and some amazing music gear on show plus some good new Macs. All but one (slightly sheepish member!) of the staff are Mac enthusiasts, and we both commented on the way out that if we'd known earlier we could have advertised it through WAMUG. Even for a non-music person it would have been a pretty impressive evening. For any music buffs out there, this is a shop well worth knowing about
