Printing problem

Avatar Michael Corgan
Trying to print onto 15cm x 10cm cards, Pages is clipping the copy for no apparent reason, so that to get all the finished image I have to reduce it to 13.5cm x 8cm. I've tried reducing the document margins to 0cm but the clipping still happens. Is there any way to get the whole image?

Not sure what the problem is (not enough information) but a good temporary solution would be to export the page to .pdf and then open it to print in Preview or Acrobat Reader.

Can your printer print right to the edge of the paper - many can't. It's possible that if you set the paper size to 15x10, then the printer will not print to the edge - the page margin only becomes relevant if it is set to larger than the printer's minimum. You could try setting the paper size to say 17x12 and then putting a 15x10 image on it. You may have to position the paper slightly in from the normal edge in the printer so it thinks it has 17x12 paper.

Does that make sense?

Have you tried importing the photo into iPhoto and printing. I have no trouble printing 6X4 borderless prints .

Mick's solution worked, and having adjusted BOTH sets of margins - I'd made them zero in Pages but overlooked the printer set-up pane (an Epson Stylus Photo R265) - I changed the nominal size as suggested and then didn't need to move the paper other than have it in the correct position, i.e. with the stops up against the edges.

Thanks all!
