Connecting MacBook to G5 PowerPC

Avatar Eric Jervis
How should I do it?
I want the MacBook to appear on my G5's desktop as an external drive so I can copy some files from one to the other. The MB is an Intel chip device running Snow Leopard and my G5 is running Leopard.

Hi Eric, in brief, use a firewire cable as follows:
Start up your Macbook (or G5) as a Firewire Target disc drive (press and hold t just before the chime). The Macbook (or G5) screen will display the Firewire symbol moving about like a screen saver. Use a firewire cable (Firewire 400, or possibly firewire 800 with adaptor) to link the Macbook (or G5) to your G5 (or MacBook) and the MacBook will show up as an external drive on your other Mac so that you can copy data to and fro at will.
