When there are two applications in use on the desktop, and I wiggle one around, and move it too far to the left of the screen, the first one whizzes off somewhere and is not to be found, although it's icon in the dock shows that it is still running. Where is it, and how can I stop this happening?
G5 PowerPC running Leopard.
I think you may have discovered 'Spaces'. Dragging a window off the screen creates a second desktop. I haven't run Leopard for a while so can't give detailed instructions but look for Spaces in Help and you should find what you need.
