Since upgrading to the latest version of iPhoto, I find that when I try to print a photo, the application quits and generates an error report. I can print from any other application such as preview or mail or pages. I have also been able to print from earlier versions of iPhoto using the same printer. I can also print the picture by using the export facility and exporting it to my printer. So I do not think this is a printer problem
I finally solved the problem by downloading iPhoto Library manager and created a new library to which Library Manager copied all my photos, albums, key words and Faces. When I started up in this new library I found i was able to print any photo I chose and everything now seems back to normal.
Rebuilding the original Library from within iPhoto unfortunately had no effect.
