InDesign CS3 upgrade

Avatar Eric Jervis
I've got the opportunity to buy InDesign CS3 upgrade (I've got PageMaker 6.5 but it won't run on my G5), but I remember a fellow former printer warning me a year or two ago against one of the CS versions.
The problem arises because, whilst I love PageMaker, I have to fire up the G4 in OS9, do the job, convert it to a .pdf, shut down and restart on the other hard drive running Tiger, print it off then restart on the OS9 drive, and shut it down to be ready for next time. It would be so nice to just use the G5.

Unless there are more details about your colleague's warning it is hard to comment. So far as I know CS3 served users well, although I jumped from CS2 to CS5 direct.

Remember to be sure that you have the "permitted users" (two at a time in CS2 onwards) de-registered from the old computer before you buy (if in doubt check with Adobe) or you may end up with no user registrations available which is a waste of your money.
