Printing from an iPod, iPad or iPhone
Lionel Ogden
Those of us who occasionally wish to print from our iOS devices but have not updated to an AirPrint enabled printer as mentioned in Mick's post below, can still print using the small application AirPrint Activator. This can be found on version tracker and should still be free or very cheap.I use it to connect to my HP all in one printer which happens to be connected to my network via ethernet, but this is not necessary for AirPrint Activator to work. Obviously your computer needs to be on and AirPrint Activator loaded. Unlike with the real AirPrint, the iOS device does not connect directly with the printer.
However this would not solve the problem for someone who has an iPad and a printer, but no computer.
