Hello Folks,

I have found some music videos on youtube of Jools Holland + others and I would like to record the music (not the video) and place the file into iTunes and then on to my iPod.

Does anyone know if this can be done and how do you do it please.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

Graham

Try http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ but don't say I told you.

Hi Graham,
as you will have gathered, there are copyright issues here, so don't be wholly surprised if you get some forthright letter from someone one day!

I must thank Eric first of all for giving me a very good site and in theory it is quite brilliant......

However as Euan points out there are copyright issues.

Research tells me that if you do this for private use at home you should be ok under copyright laws but if you were to broadcast your copied music say in a club or a disco then you are asking for trouble.

Now call me a wimp but I am not brave enough to test this in a court of law.

It is such a shame as there are some superb music videos on Youtube that I would want to copy and they are not iTunes.

Oh well.......

Try this, insert pwn after the www. this will take you to a download site that will allow you to convert almost any file to another format, this tip was in a Mac magazine.
