iPad2 printing

Avatar Alan Cox
Has any one got any good ideas about how to print from an iPad2? I really don't want to buy a new printer and especially one which uses a black and multi colour cartridge, ie, 'tricolour'. My all-in-one is an EpsonSX525WD. It uses 4 cartridges and is Wi-Fi enabled.

Alan, was the information in "a good value all in one printer" (David Fleetwood) 5th August useful? There is a software title > Air Print Activator for Mac < there that might help (or not). Please let us know ;-)

Thanks Euan. That looks as though it will solve the problem.

News just in: Samsung has new iPad print compatible devices, see this Macworld article:

"The new SCX-4729FW and ML-2955DW printers are compatible with Samsung's Mobile Print app, letting iOS users wirelessly print PDFs, pictures, and Web pages. The app lets Samsung bypass iOS’s AirPrint feature, which is currently compatible only with HP’s ePrint printers.

The SCX-4729FW also includes built-in scan and fax functions."

These printers could be useful for the right person. But they are both laser printers and, I think, monochrome. However, if Samsung is climbing on the iPad band wagon then maybe other manufacturers will follow suit. It would be a nice tribute to Steve Jobs if they did and jolly useful to those of us who are devoted to the kit he has inspired.
