Before it is consigned to the dump, if anyone is looking for a sturdy laser printer, albeit slower than more modern ones, I am disposing of my trusty Apple Laserwriter Select 3/60. I've treated myself to a laser printer than can do duplex printing.

Let me know and I'll bring the printer to you. It will also need an Asanté bridge as it connects via Appletalk. The bridge - for sale (!) at a reasonable price - acts as, well, a bridge between ethernet and Appletalk. I also have the Appletalk connectors to go with the printer. At no charge.

Yes, but check compatibility. Appletalk went out with Leopard (I think) so the Asanté bridge won't be usable unless you stick with 10.4. There is a workaround here (and elsewhere).

Whoops! Apologies: Appletalk networking was discontinued (why does Apple call it "deprecated"?) with Snow Leopard, so you would be fine with 10.5 Leopard.

Nah... the nearest Freecycle group is in Yeovil - a 50 mile round trip, which is a bit self-defeating! So sadly, it went to its' final resting place.

In future you could try this lot - they are v active in Dorch and have a Bridport branch.
Folk, of course travel to collect what they want.
