I was part of the NEIP program, in the early 90's New Employee Introductory Program, a week long session for new employees covering Apple history, design philosophy (plugs only fit in one way) consistency of user interface (a whole day) networking and technologies of the day, and a complete product line induction. ( i did the networking bit on appletalk)
I believe they are still doing an intro program, but its much expanded.... there is a big crew of designers and teachers who create huge libraries of great learning tools, always has been.... it was one of the wonderful things about working there, you could find everything you needed to do your job in the libraries on campus.
