Given that the improvement between releases is never life improving or shattering why not search for a new previous model and get a decent discount, try Jigsaw in Nottingham, look at their ex demo stock and see if the price reduction is tempting. The machines will have been run in, cleaned up and look and behave as if straight from the factory and with the full warranty.
You also can check out what problems existed in the previous model and determine if the model is worth buying - whereas with the latest and greatest offering you do not know what gremlins are going to appear if you buy early in the product run.
So far I have bought a previous model years Mac Pro and a Macbook Pro - saving several hundred pounds on each.
Remember if you buy the latest and greatest it will soon be replaced by an even more attractive product (on paper)
