Mouse and Printer Problem.

Avatar John Shores
To make transparencies for screen printing I use an old G3 with Typestyler. A mouse has found its way into my workshop. It brought hazel nuts for supper and ate them in the printer. I tried to print and the fine particles of shell destroyed the mechanism, drive belt etc.

Please does anyone have an old, surplus, printer, which will work from the old serial connections, the ones with 8 little pins? All the suppliers now have machines in stock which work from USB cables.

If anyone has such a machine I can collect.

That puts a whole new aspect on 'problems with your mouse". Did it have a single button or was it one of the later mighty mouses (mice).

Has anyone else had unusual wildlife problems with their Macs and peripherals?

From the TypeStyler website: Until the TypeStyler for OS X is released most users have found the current TypeStyler 3.7.2 (one known issue) runs fine under the Classic environment of OS X of all past and currently shipping PowerPC Macs. The new Intel Macs do not support Classic. Don't know if this helps or not...?

I am running the OS 9 on the G3, which is adequate for my purpose. Strider hope to have an update for OSX in the near future.
What I would like to find is, someone who has an old printer to sell, with serial connections. It doesn't even need to be a colour printer as I only print black transparencies.
I think the mouse was a single button version but had many sharp teeth.
