Bargains (relatively) to be had...

Avatar Stuart Affleck
With the launch of M2 Pro & Max MBPs, the now-discontinued M1 models are heavily discounted in the Apple Store refurb/clearance. Have bought a 14 inch Pro (16/10 core version, 16GB/1TB) for £1839 (and another £249 for AppleCare+), over £500 saving versus the M2 equivalent. Didn't check any other models, but the Intel mini isn't as good a deal anyway...

Cannot find the website page in the Apple Store with pricing for the (old) MPBs. The only one showing specs does not have prices. Can you provide a link please?

They're only available in the Refurbished/Clearance store, not in the main store. There's a link to Refurbished at the bottom of the page on Apple's home page but here it is:

Apple Refurbished

Refurbished 16" M1 Pro has a saving of £400 on the "basic" M1 Pro version full price last year and £700 against the new M2 Pro just launched.

Thanks. Just purchased a 16" MacBook Pro M1 16/10 with 16GB memory/1TB storage for £2000.

You were robbed - it should have been £1999 ;-)

Apologies for not putting a link on- Apple for some reason does tend to not highlight the often-significant savings that can be had, but I'm a frequent browser who forgot others aren't. My MBP was delivered on Thursday- it was actually a refurb rather than brand new. Model name rather than a picture, and 'certified refurbished' logo on the box, battery has three charge cycles. Apart from the box label, the unboxing experience is as nice as brand new- protective materials identical in every way. And it goes like the clappers. Enjoy it Rick!

I checked out the refurb prices of the M2 Air: 16GB/1TB config saves you £90 over the 14" MBP I bought. Considering better CPU, GPU, ports, screen…I definitely got a better deal than that!
