metadata on IOS photos

Avatar Richard I
Hi, does anyone know how to see the metadata for a photo using photos on IOS? For example, resolution, date taken etc?
Thanks

I think you'll need a photo app other than the one supplied.

I use iCloud for my IOS photos which places them on my MacBook Pro. From the MBP double click a photo in the library and at the top right of the photo is an i circled. Click that to open metadata and a small map with the location pinned.

Thanks Roy. yes, I did know how to do it on the Mac. I don't always have it with me though- hence the interest in an IOS method.

I think this is supposed to be improved in Photos in the coming update to iOS/iPadOS.

As Tony predicted this feature has appeared in iOS 15.1. - it works exactly as I hoped.
Clearly, Tony has remarkable influence over the Apple software team!
