My Google email account suddenly requested that I re-enter my password but when I try I get message “Settings” wants to Use “Google.com” to Sign in. This allows the app and website to share information about you.
The options are Cancel or Continue.
So far I have selected Cancel. I may be being over suspicious but could this be a workaround to avoid Apple anti tracking etc?
David, which device is it on? Would you quote the exact wording of the message please. Does it appear in an alert box whilst using the Mail app or in some other way?
Tony. It is on my phone and I will email you a screen shot. But your question made me check my Mac, the other device with that account and there is no password problem. I should have checked that before!
I had a similar message when I was trying to use Google on my Android phone. Maybe it is something to do with it being a mobile device and doing a double check. However like you I decided not to bother and completed what I wanted to find out on my Mac
