Big Sur/VMware Fusion

Anyone using Fusion 11 or earlier will find that it no longer works with Big Sur. Personally, I'd not seen any warning from VM that this was going to happen and was especially miffed as I'd paid to upgrade to v11 only late last year.

Having balked at the idea of paying, again, about £70 to get v12 and done some digging, I found that there is now a version called Fusion Player 12 available for free personal use. It allows me to run non Mac software in Windows XP, which has no Internet connection - for security reasons, in Unity Mode as before.

I'm happy again!
