Open Keychain Access and go to the preferences. Select the 'First Aid' tab and make sure all the options here are checked. If they aren't, check them and restart.
Done that Chris, and they are all checked. However, I've accidentally inserted another keychain called macuser_rename. I was having a look at things earlier and clicked on something called this just to see what it was about; nothing apparently happened, but obviously something did. And to add to my woes, Firefox has updated itself to version 3.0.5 without my permission, because I couldn't think how to stop it. Is this update safe?
O.K. chaps, I'm going over the top. I hate it when a mere machine thinks it's in charge of me rather than vice versa. I'm now using the big Tiger drive, which contains a lot of apps that it arrived with, most of which require a faster processor anyway, and the dreaded Classic. My plan is to restart on the other Tiger drive and use migration assistant to import the few goodies I like, such as Pacifist, Toast 7 Basic, Stuffit and Graphic Converter US (Six years old but possibly still useful?). And then reformat this disk. Any thoughts before I do?
