Running old Lightroom on new MacBook Pro

This has been pointed out to me by a member here from a Lightroom forum: “you would be unable to install LR on 10.15 Catalina as the installer is still 32-bit, which Catalina will not run. If you had been able to transfer the app using the Migration Assistant, I believe that would be OK as the main LR6 code is 64-bit, but if you have to install it that won't work.”
I didn’t use Migration Assistant when setting up my MBP because there was too much junk on my old iMac. I transferred essentials manually. However if the above statement is correct, can I use MA to just transfer LR but nothing else?

Straight to the point! That's what I like. Thanks Mick.
So today I transferred all the applications from the iMac to the MBP. Bad decision because LR 6 will not work on the MBP and now Safari will not open on the MBP!
That's another case which I will work on later.
