Hi, I know I am a late adopter, but I need to install zoom on either the mac or an Ipad.

Can someone tell me the safest way of getting it?

eg App store listing or web source URL
and what to select.

I don't think it's available from the Mac App Store - use www.zoom.us and click the resources link then download client. This may work for the iPad too but it may well be available on the iOS App Store.

Thanks Mick. There is a zoom app on the app store for IOS, so I'll start there. If the screen proves to be too small, I'll follow your instructions for installation on the Mac.

You can join meetings using Safari without the app but I think you have less options and I'm sure you couldn't host a meeting.

Safest way of using Zoom is by substituting FaceTime.

If you must, iOS version is probably less worrisome than macOS.

Ironic that it's the Zoom thread that throws an error every time I try to comment. I had to remove an emoji from the post above before I was able to make it stick.

Zoom runs great on Firefox, I have attended 6 or 7 Zoom sessions and I have my collection of virtual backdrops to add a bit of variety.

I'm sure I've used emoji on the forum in the past, has something changed?

It's not very elegant, just proclaiming that an error has occurred (a "fatal" one at that, especially to the emoji) and then binning the user's input.
