Thinking of putting in a Christmas wish list to the family!!
Has anyone had any experience of using the second generation iPod Touch?
For example:-
Could I receive and send 'E' mails via the WiFi facility using Mail with my present ISP or do I need a completely different set up?
Is Safari the same as on my iMac or is it a modified version?
Can you connect to the internet without going to iTunes? It does not make it clear in the info site.

I can send and receive mail on a POP account, Dot Mac and GMail
Safari is very similar (if not the same) even has your bookmarks - but web pages are very small - you have to zoom and scroll around
You connect via your home or any other wireless network.

Hi John, I plan to bring mine to the next meeting in Dorchester but without an internet connection its value is greatly restricted. Google Earth is dramatic on so small a gismo.
If you find yourself in Dorchester you are welcome to see how mine works either at my home or or over a drink in Weatherspoons where it picks up the free wifi without difficulty. Mark
