iPhone Preferences are hiding

Avatar Rick Churchill
When I synchronised my iPhone after the last update to iOS 12.3.1 I get the following message:

“iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone “iPhone” because an error occurred remapping record identifiers.
Try syncing your iPhone again. If the problem persists, replace the contacts on the iPhone from the info tab in the iPhone preferences..............OK"

I don't know where to look for an "info tab in the iPhone preferences" and haven't been able to find anyone on the internet with a similar problem.
On the MacBook I cannot find any tabs in iTunes preferences, Contacts preferences or within the iTunes programme itself nor have I found anything on the iPhone in these places.

Any ideas where to look?

SOLVED - On the Mac in iTunes, I clicked on the phone symbol (or icon) and then "info" in the side panel (or "bar" if you must, sorry I'm having an anti-Americanism moment) then clicked on Sync Contacts to un-sync it, and then pressed the sync button at the bottom.....and nothing happened. But after unmounting the phone, reconnecting and repeating synching and unsynching several times suddenly there was no error message.

So now I know what "replace the contacts on the iPhone from the info tab in the phone preferences" means....something completely different!
