Printer not printing via wi-fi.

I recently tried to print a web page on my son’s iPad, using his HP Desktop Wireless printer, Model F4580. This message appeared: “No AirPrint printers found”. Printing wirelessly from his PC is successful. Any suggestions please on how to get the iPad to find the printer?

Sometimes if you turn off the printer then turn it back on it sort of re-starts the search for WiFi signal. I would then try to print from the iPad. I’ve had this happen occasionally with my iPad to my printer where-by I can print from my iPhone but now my iPad. I don’t have the conclusive answer.

Thanks Georgia. After research, it appears that the printer is not AirPrint compatible. Will try to rectify at some point in the future.

Ah! the dreaded word "compatible". How we love this word and spend hours searching to find whether Device A will talk to Device B.
