Stopping an email

Avatar Alan Cox
I may be the only one who clicks the Mail Send button and then realises he's forgotten to say something important or add an Attachment. If not, does any one know how to stop the message going at least while the cogwheel is busily rotating which I presume means that the message is still in 'the post"?

When I had finished tapping out that message, I found a message in red beside the Post button. I said 'Invalid input'. I clicked on the Post button anyway and it seems to have gone. Strange.

I think it comes back to the "Measure twice, cut once" scenario!

If it happens regularly you could work offline and only when you are happy then go online to send. The option to go offline is in the Mailbox menu.

Thank you for both suggestions. I will try the offline idea but that really should not be necessary if I had my wits about me – which I obviously haven't from time to time! However, when we were doing 'works' in the house, a chippie also said 'measure twice, cut once'. To be absolutely sure, I would measure thrice and then cut, and found that I had made the same wrong measurement thrice. It will get to you all as the years roll on!
