MacUpdate Site Compromised - Distributing Malware

It seems that MacUpdate has been fooled into distributing bad versions of various apps, including Firefox, Onyx and Deeper. Details are here

If you have used them in February then you need to take action as described in the article.

Remember, it's safest only to to download from either the Apple Mac App Store or the developer's own website (sorry MacUpdate).

I downloaded an update for Firefox and when I went to open it the File Vault picture came up and told me to delete the App, which I did then App Cleaner listed all the files and I deleted them. I went back on Time Machine and reinstalled Fire Fox
