Beware: Cheap RAM on ebay.

There is very cheap RAM being sold on ebay with all the right specifications. However this RAM is specified as 'HIGH DENSITY'.

When you look for specs regarding Mac memory 'High Density' is not mentioned. Problem is High Density does not work with older Macs, and if your Mac is slow enough (it is not guaranteed even if it appears to run okay with it!).

So be very careful when buying this RAM. Especially from a member called: SmileNTango. They will only help if you FIRST leave positive feedback, this is against ebay rules. It is called "Feedback Extortion".

As for me. The chip appears to work in a very old iBook (Clamshell) so no money lost, it was for an iMac G4!
This will teach me from straying from the path to Crucial.com. But for £12 instead of £54, it was a risk worth taking... I think.... Still I've learnt something I did not know from the experience!
