MP2 to MP3

Can anybody help I have been given an MP2 file and want to edit it. Garage Band will not import it how do I convert it to MP3 format

It depends what created it and what it contains! I usually use a combination of QuicktimePro and MPEG Streamclip. If the file is not to large send it to me and I'll have a look at it.

It was copied from a DAB radio and is in MP2 format a total of 1 hours recording
