I have a lovely reference book that I had to buy on Kindle as the book is out of print but I'm unable to find a way to print it off. It won't allow me to make a PDF of it, neither will it let me copy and paste the text. I've been reduced to making screen grabs of it, page by page, but with hundreds of pages this will take me ages.
I'd really like to create a hard copy of the book. Does anybody know how I might more easily do this?
Thanks.
Thanks for that. Part of the problem is that Kindle now make the actual file for the particular book impossible to access. Has anybody converted a Kindle book in recent years - previously it was possible to access the file easily on your computer.
You can use Calibre to convert the book but you need to remove the DRM first. If you open Kindle and go to Kindle preferences, content folder that shows you where the book is stored
Have you tried Abebooks for a secondhand copy of the book? I have found good condition copies of several obscure and out of print books at reasonable prices (some from the US).
You would get better quality that way and avoid what may be a breach of copyright (check the Kindle licence).
