Will iCal on my iPhone, using iOS8.3 sync with iCal on my iMac using OS 10.6.8?

If you have an iCloud account and allow syncing I think it would work. I use a program Called Fantastical which I find better than Calendar on iPhone iPad and Mac

It's not supported prior to Lion (10.7) but for the brave, you could try this:
