Preparing & maintaining simple accounts

Avatar David Chaplin
Can anyone recommend a programme for Mac that will facilitate income/expenditure recordings & possibly a balance sheet for the year end, other than Numbers.

Many thanks, David Chaplin.

See Accountz.com - I've used their software for years but it may well be overkill for what you want. The Home version will not automatically produce a balance sheet and I'm fairly sure the business version would be over the top!

Thanks Mick - will have a look. David.

I have "Personal accountz" which must be at least three years old and I didn't use it much. It's on a CD and available free. If you want to try it let me know and we can arrange collection/delivery. Roy

It's older than that Roy - but it's the predecessor of Home Accountz so the operation is similar and the files can be read by Home Accountz if you choose to upgrade.

Thanks Mick. I might have a look at what upgrading would offer. However for simple accounts, like mine, a spreadsheet for expenses and another for income with manual entries does the job.

I always admire people whose operation of a spreadsheet is so precise and error free that they reply on it for their financial security ;-)

I admire them too Mick since any software used depends on not having 'rubbish in, rubbish out' !!
