WiFi dropping out

Avatar Drew McFarlane
Hi All,

When using a Mid 2011 MacBook Air operating on Yosemite 10.10.2 the WiFi constantly drops out when I close the lid or when I leave the machine for a short period of time, 5 minutes or so.

I would appreciate if someone might offer an explanation for this annoying occurrence.

This doesn’t happen when using a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro or 2012 iMac, both operating on Yosemite 10.10.2

Hi all,

Just a few lines to thank Mick for his assistance last night at the Dorchester meeting. What would have taken a while to write, Mick explained in a few minutes how to resolve my problem.

Problem solved by moving my home router to the top of the list and deleting those that were no longer required.

I hope this makes sense.

My iPad does occasionally drop its WiFi connection (and reconnects when I unplug and replug the router). Andrew, I would be interested to know what list you put your router the top of? It might sort out my occasional problem which is irritating but not a catastrophe.

The list is not available on the iPad
