Dead External Lacie Drive - It lives!
Eleanor Spenceley
My 120 Gb Lacie Drive died last week, the HardDrive itself could no longer spin up.Instead of throwing out the whole very well made and robust case, I thought I'd try replacing the drive.
I got myself a 320 GB drive from the same manufacturer (Western Digital) and installed it.
It works! :-)
I now have a 320 Gb Lacie drive with firewire connections for 1/2 the price of a new one.
I knew buying Lacie drives was a good idea... fingers crossed for the future use of this drive. ;-)
