Am considering selling my MacBook and one option is the Apple Reuse and Recycling trade in. Dataserv will give an estimated value on the Apple website and I can answer all their questions except the Model number. The System Profiler doesn't show any of the models listed by Dataserv. Perhaps it is too old! However they do list: MacBook Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz 13.3" White MA699LL/A
and: MacBook Core Duo 1.83 GHz 13.3" White MA254LL/A
Mine is a Macbook Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz 13.3" White but what Model number ?
Any comments /advice will be appreciated.
Roy

After finding that the battery on my MacBook will not recharge I tried the Apple Reuse and Recycle possibility again, using the model number kindly provided by Euan and this was the result: "Unfortunately Dataserv has deemed that your product has no resale value."
So I will keep it and use it with the electrical connection.
Apple batteries are £109 so not worth installing one just to sell the MacBook for about £80. I don't need to be mobile with it so will be happy with the electrical connection. Roy
