Nine members plus a guest were at Warsash for Mick's talk on passkeys. Passwords aren't terribly secure and have various other pitfalls, so Apple, Microsoft, Google and others are backing passkeys as their replacement. They're potentially both more secure and easier to use for logging into apps and websites. It's a very interesting technology, though as Mick demonstrated, not without its own drawbacks. The usual breakout discussions followed.
