A small but select band assembled to share experiences with their favourite apps. Brian started us off with an animation app he enjoys which doesn't require artistic skill to use (although he showed us some he'd prepared earlier where his artistic skill had made excellent results) and quickly showed us how to create an animation of his name and followed that with a portrait of Mick which everyone except Mick agreed was a perfect likeness ;-). Brian then carried on with the app he uses to design parts for his 3D printer to print out and make models.

Simon showed us the app he uses to control light in his home - switching them on an off and changing the colour. We imagined someone wondering what on earth was going on but he assured us the house was empty and proved it by showing live video. Lindsey then showed us how she monitors her solar panels although being dark, not much energy was being fed into the system. Finally, Mick demonstrated the BBC sport app which he uses to follow news of his sporting passions - Tennis & Formula 1.

The evening was rounded off with some problem solving including getting rid of annoying pop-ups from Google.
