It was our Open Evening to which members and anyone interested in having help to address any problems using iPhones, iPads or Macs were invited. There was a good turnout of members and another 50% of guests. Drinks and nibbles were provided with table service! The entire evening was fashioned as 1:1 between those who sought help and those who could give it. I don't think there was even a moment when anyone was not 'engaged'.

The hope is that our Guests will turn into Members. The members themselves welcomed the format and asked for more of the same. There is a balancing act to be achieved between revealing what is possible and encouraging members to try new things to benefit the most from their devices and addressing the more immediate problems encountered in the daily round.

I believe those who were able to offer help enjoyed the many challenges they faced and those who presented the challenges expressed gratitude for the help they received. I think we can call it a success.
