The evening took the form of the second part of Looking at Spreadsheets and Numbers in particular. First we examined the way the exercise, set members last month, had been done. David P tried to balance his fondness for spreadsheets by issuing warnings on the dangers - JP Morgan Chase is reported to have lost more than six billion dollars relying on a spreadsheet! However, spreadsheets have been seminal in the development of personal computing and Macs played a major part in that. We ended up looking at a simple method to link sheets so that data can be consolidated.
