Mick first of all talked us through some or the terminology used for spreadsheets and explained that Apple's Numbers treats a spreadsheet as a huge piece of paper which can have multiple tables on, each with as many rows and columns as you wish. He then said that spreadsheets can be used as a simple database, holding text as well as numbers and equations. But the main part of the presentation was how to set up a spreadsheet to monitor, analyse and reconcile your bank account, showing adding rows & columns, adjusting their size and general manipulation of the tables along the way.
