Tony presented “Pages” an app that is installed on all Macs including iPad, he began with a look at the large selection of Templates that came as standard choosing one to make a start showing some imported text and using this text to demonstrate formatting and the use of Styles.

Showing us how to import a graphic to make the text to flow around the text then using Instant Alpha to clear the background and making the text flow closer to the shape.

Finishing off with an explanation of a few typographic rules and explaining difference between a proportion typeface like Helvetica and a monospace typeface such as Courier.

He showed that “Pages” is an easy to use word processor and a page layout application.
