Euan described the latest three new products from Apple for those wanting ideas for their Christmas list - the iPad Pro (complete with new Apple pencil), the Mac Mini and the MacBook Air.
David described how you could get the operating systems released in September but before you do explained how you could determine if your devices could accommodate them and how you could interrogate your devices to determine which operating system you were running.
Mick, completed his helpful exposition on various aspects of e-mail. He covered: the differences between POP & IMAP, how to manage mailboxes, how to remove those e-mail addresses which your friends tell you are now obsolete but which your mail system keeps offering you despite your best efforts to delete them (Mick showed us there is a way) and finished up with describing how you can devise your own sign-off 'signature' for your e-mails.
A feature which we hope to develop at Beaminster is Back to Basics. David invited Beaminster'ites to e-mail (using
[undisclosed email]) topics which they would like to see included.
