April's meeting revolved around photographs so had a very broad appeal. Derek introduced us to a program he's used for many years - JAlbum. He showed us how photos could be dragged in and then easily moved around until you have them in the order you want for creating a slideshow. Whilst you can play the slideshow directly from JAlbum, a really nice feature is its ability to export it as a series of HTML files which can be uploaded to a web site (JAlbum will rent you web space if necessary) so that it can be played as a video there.
Derek them moved on to showing how photographs could be uploaded to PhotoBox (as an alternative to Apple) for printing as very good quality books. He brought along some very impressive examples he'd had made as mementos of holidays.
