David M related the difficulties (but ultimate success) experienced in transferring the May meeting video to DVD. When the video was played in Quicktime, the .AVI Format recording appeared to have stalled about 35 minutes into the take. Euan had all sorts of problems with ‘corrupt’ frames trying to edit the video in iMovie. However when the video was converted using “Aimersoft Video Ultimate Converter” to MP4 not only did it respond properly to iMovie but the missing video miraculously reappeared. As David C. suggestion we showed the file can be dragged directly from the camera folder onto Aimersoft without first down loading to the computer. David M went on to show how easily Aimersoft can be used to download movies from YouTube and other sources although full length movies had not been tried. We then looked at parts of the WDDC presentation focusing in IOS 11, the new iPad Pros, the new Affinity Photo for iPad, iMacs and the amazingly powerful new iMac Pro. David M also showed how to change the country format for a specific address in Contacts, how to enter a new contact into a specific group via IOS and a number of useful System Preferences settings suggested by OSXDaily.
