John Hooper talked us through the many variables in the Settings configuration in the latest iOS for iPad and iPhone, although he concentrated on the iPad. There are many options that are available within the iOS and by the end of John's very thorough 'walk through', it was agreed that everyone attending had found something useful that they didn't previously know about this iOS.
A particular favourite of some was the 'magnifier' that cleverly uses the camera to turn the device into a magnifying glass. It helps greatly in reading small print and allows the view to be frozen so it can be read at leisure. It also includes a variety of settings to help with particular visual disabilities. Enable it in Accessibility and then triple-click the Home button to turn it on.
After the usual refreshment break rather than the usual Q & A session, the members present separated into more of a workshop style grouping, discussing topics relevant to them.
