Salisbury — Jun 28th 2016
First was a Q&A, Michael ask about connecting his iPhone and iPad to his car's Wi-Fi system and the order in which his list of e-mails are set.
Barry Guyer then gave us a very interesting presentation on "How easy it is to create a website" using "Sparkle", he started with that he was asked to produce a website for the bowling club in Amesbury of which he is member, their original website having been corrupted by a major software glitch.
He showed how he researched several applications before finally settling on "Sparkle" and buying several books, he explained how in the past he had to do a report on a medical survey but at the time the only way to do this was with a punched card system.
Barry then demonstrated the process of creating his website and how the application worked and how easy it was to create several linked pages including text and a slide show of a few photographs.
Finally showing the finished website that some members were able to receive on their iPads, iPhones and MacBooks.
In all a really informative presentation by Barry.
Sparkle has a cost of £60.00 for the full application and also has a free demo version.
The session ended with a general discussion.
Next meeting Tuesday 26th July 2016
