Beaminster — Feb 2nd 2016
There was quite a good attendance (14 in all) to hear and see two presentations.
The first was a demonstration by Roy Moore of the free iPad/iPhone app “Snapseed”. This proved to be a very competent and easy-to-use app for manipulating photographs. As chairman of the Beaminster Camera Club Roy knew of what he spake and gave us a good set of examples to show the power of the app. And as a bonus, it is free.
Roy was followed by Michael who presented apps to turn scans of documents from the photograph which is the end product of a scan into usable text document. He also showed two apps for doing the same to PDF documents and having showed just how bad some apps can be ended up with just three recommended ones.
And after that there was a lot of chat and help flying back and forth over coffee.
