Fareham — Feb 2nd 2008

This months meeting was inspired by a request to look at "Back to my Mac". But before delving into the intricacies of this technology we took a look at Security, looking at why we, or if we, should be concerned! It proved to be an interesting, if not wide subject, which hopefully inspired everyone to consider the various considerations.

Coffee and Doughnuts followed along with general discusions between members. I'm sure some of the chat was social, not just about Macs, but that is part of what were about, meeting other like minded people!

We then moved onto remote connections... Untilising Virtual Network Computing (VNC) in the guise of Apples's "Back to my Mac" and iChat Screen Sharing, both proved very interesting and had everyone trying to connect and share screens of those attending. We suffered a litle set back in demo'ing local screen sharing, but I'm sure everyone got the idea and went away inspired.

A few problems were solved and yet again it was a very enjoyable meeting for all attending. Thanks to Mick once again for the loan of his projector.
