Beaminster — Jan 7th 2014
Last night the first WAMUG meeting of 2014 got off to a very good start thanks to a first-class presentation on the basics of iPhoto from our member David Parnell. David (who incidentally is also a member of Bridport Camera Club) gave a very clear and understandable description of the way in which iPhoto deals with your photographs, how to put hem into the application, how to classify and catalogue them, how to manipulate them using the tools in iPhoto, and finally what can be done with the photographs when they are all in order and to your liking, by way of exporting them as a gallery or on DVD or by creating a book or a calendar - both the latter processes being made amazingly easy by the program.
Following David's presentation there was the usual break for tea or coffee and then, as has become the custom at Beaminster, we broke into small groups win which questions were asked or answered or one-to-one tuition was given to those needing help.
We look forward to getting our very own projector and screen before too long, which will relieve Mick of the burden, bravely born, of bringing his own kit to help us out. We look forward to a busy 2014!
